MARQUETTE – The U.S. Army Field Band Brass Quintet will perform at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Northern Michigan University. The free concert will be held in Reynolds Recital Hall in C.B. Hedgcock. The public is invited to attend.
The quintet will also offer a master class for high school and college students after the performance in the same location. Students are invited to bring their instruments to play for the audience and five-piece ensemble, and to receive tutoring.
The U.S. Army Field Brass Quintet is comprised of two trumpets, a horn, a trombone and a tuba. The group travels with the U.S. Army Field Band, which is performing at Kaufman Auditorium Friday evening. The band has performed throughout the United States and several other countries, and is hailed as the musical ambassadors of the Army.
