MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University and Marquette’s Cool Cities Group will play host to an entrepreneurial forum for area residents interested in starting a business or formulating a business plan. The event will take place from 4:30-8:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the University Center.
From 4:30-5:30 p.m., more than 20 booths will be on display in the Michigan room, providing resource professionals on topics ranging from financing to how to run a successful small business.
Three 45-minute break-out sessions will take place from 5:30-8:15 p.m. in the Ontario, Pioneer A and Pioneer B rooms. The 5:30-6:15 p.m. topics are e-commerce for beginners, business plan development, and accounting and legal issues. The 6:30-7:15 p.m. topics are home-based and cottage industries, advanced e-commerce and start-up financing. The 7:30-8:15 p.m. topics are art and design, considering a franchise, and marketing.
