MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning is hosting a presentation about the Galapagos Islands and their native plants and animals from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at First United Methodist Church in Marquette.
Paul McKelvey has visited the Galapagos Islands twice. He also visited Darwin’s home in England, Down House, where he was able to look through notebooks from Darwin's 1835 trip. He will discuss the flora and fauna of the islands, much of which is found nowhere else in the world.
The cost to attend this event is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 18. To register or for more information call 906-228-4165.
