MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning is hosting a presentation by DNR wolf management specialist Brian Roell from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 17, in room 101 B of the Superior Dome.

Roell will address the legends of wolves destroying cattle, savaging deer populations, killing dogs and generally terrorizing human populations, and discuss the role of the wolf as a natural predator.

He will share the origins of the state's wolf management plan, the current status and movements of the Michigan wolf population, and issues involved as wolves and people attempt to use the same geographic areas and natural resources.

The cost to attend is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. The deadline for registration is Monday, March 14. To register or for more information call 906-249-3229.
