MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host its annual ethnic dinner titled “A Scandinavian Journey” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in the Jacobetti Center commons area at Northern Michigan University.
The event will feature a choice of two entrees: roast pork loin stuffed with prunes and apples or pan-seared cod with rosemary. Other traditional foods from Sweden, Denmark and Norway will also be available. The dinner will be prepared and served by students from NMU’s culinary arts program.
Live music will be provided by Will Kilpela, who will play the accordian during the opening social hour and an acoustic string and voice piece titled “Midsummer Strings."
Deadline for registration is Feb. 21. The cost is $25 for NCLL members and $28 for the general public. Participation is limited to 125 people.
