Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning is offering a workshop called "Writing for Your Grandchildren" from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 10, in Cohodas room 414 at Northern Michigan University.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Shirley Smith, a former actress and drama teacher, will lead the class. Since retiring, she has published four books, focusing on the many cities she has visited and a character named "Flat A.G." Smith will discuss the origins of "Flat A.G." and demonstrate how the role of grandparents can be turned into delightful book adventures for their grandchildren and others.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The cost to attend this event is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. The class size is limited to 25, and the deadline for registration is Monday, Feb. 7. To register or for more information call 226-6169.
