Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University will have several activities celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. during the week of Jan. 17-21.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The Honors Student Organization will put up a book display in Olson Library at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17. The display will be up all week.

Daryl Davis, an African American musician and lecturer, will give a presentation courtesy of Platform Personalities at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.

Phi Alpha Theta, the history honors society, and Sigma Tau Delta, the English honors society, will present selections from KingÂ’s speeches at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, in Whitman Auditorium.

The movie "Unchained Memories" will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, in the Explorer Rooms of the University Center.

A commemorative march will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, beginning at Payne-Halverson Halls and ending with a brief program in the Charcoal Room of the University Center.
