NCLL PRESENTS OLYMPIC CENTER TOUR

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – A tour of the U.S. Olympic Education Center will be offered by the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The center is located in the Superior Dome on the Northern Michigan University campus. More than 22,000 athletes, coaches and officials from 35 countries have participated in its programs since the center opened in 1985.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The tour will begin with an overview of the USOEC and a brief video. Director Jeff Kleinschmidt will lead a walking tour of the sports medicine clinic, boxing and wrestling facilities, two weightlifting facilities and the ice arena. It is very likely that visitors will witness athletes actively engaged in their training programs.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Tour participants are asked to wear comfortable walking shoes and meet in the concourse outside the USOEC offices in the Superior Dome.
