NMU ARMY ROTC COMMISSIONS TWO FROM U.P.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Meghan Roberts of Ishpeming and Krista Schuster of Iron Mountain were recently commissioned second lieutenants in the U.S. Army. Both were in the NMU Army ROTC program and graduated in December. Their commissioning ceremony was held at NMU following mid-year commencement exercises.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Roberts received a bachelor's degree in nursing and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. She will attend the Army Medical Department officer basic course on her way to her first active duty station.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Schuster, who received a bachelor's degree in business computer information systems, was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Signal Corps. She will temporarily serve on the staff of the NMU Army ROTC program prior to attending the Army Signal Corps officer basic course and eventually serving in the Wisconsin National Guard.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Lt. Col. John Vickers, head of the military science department at NMU, presided over the commissioning ceremony.
