RIVERBOAT CRUISING TOPIC OF NCLL PROGRAM

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – "Wonders of the Waterways and Riverboat Cruising in Belgium and Holland" is the topic of an upcoming Northern Center for Lifelong Learning presentation. It is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at the First United Methodist Church in Marquette.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Fred and Carol Margriff will present slides from their 11-day trip aboard the “Odyssey.” Their riverboat tour took them through Belgium and Holland with highlights including Amsterdam, Ghent, Rotterdam, Brugge, Antwerp, Volendam, and Delft. The trip ended with the Floriade in Amsterdam – a spectacular flower exhibition held every 10 years. Countries from around the world develop major outdoor and indoor displays and present the latest technologies for growing plants, ecological concerns, and preservation efforts.
