NCLL TO HOLD WINTER TERM KICKOFF

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning is holding a “winter term kickoff” from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, in the Peter White Library community room.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  There will be information available about NCLL and its events. Those who attend can sign up for classes or become a member.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Class presenters and/or their NCLL liaisons will describe their upcoming offerings. Winter term classes offered by the NCLL include "Tai Chi Chuan: Meditation in Motion," "Civil Rights Activists in the 1960s," "Beyond the Legends: Wolves in Michigan," beginning guitar lessons and a Scandinavian ethnic dinner.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  "We're hosting this special event to kick off the new term,” said Marge Forslin, a member of the NCLL curriculum committee. "We'll have some suggestions for enhancing days and evenings in the Marquette area with a wide variety of high quality educational and enrichment programs."
