CIRCLE K TO HOLD RAFFLE

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan UniversityÂ’s chapter of Circle K will begin selling tickets for its first spring break raffle drawing on Nov. 26.  The prizes are a $2,500 travel voucher, $500 in cash and $250 in cash.  Proceeds will be divided between Circle K, the U.P. ChildrenÂ’s Museum and Bay Cliff Health Camp.

The drawing itself will be held at the Feb. 11 NMU hockey game.

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  “The reason we decided to have a raffle is because we decided last year that we wanted a fundraiser that would be beneficial to multiple organizations,” said Hope OÂ’Donnell, an NMU junior and member of Circle K.  “Since our club is very actively involved with the museum and the health camp, and both of these are in need of funding, our Kiwanis adviser suggested the raffle as a good way to get that funding.”

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Tickets are $5 per person and will be available at the Westwood Mall.  They will also be available at the NMU hockey games on Jan. 14 and Feb. 11.  Purchasers must be 18 or older and need not be present to win.  There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be bought per person.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  This event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Marquette.  For more information, contact OÂ’Donnell at 227-4803.
