Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Singer/guitarist Tab Benoit will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 10, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center as part of the Northern Michigan University Performing Art Series 2004-2005.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Benoit is a "Cajun Rock ‘n Blues" musician from Louisiana. His songs have been placed in television shows such as “Northern Exposure” and “Melrose Place,” and he performed on-camera on the premiere episode of “Baywatch Nights.”  BenoitÂ’s albums include “Whiskey Store,” “What I Live For,” “Standing on the Bank” and “Wetlands,” which won the Offbeat Magazine 2003 Best Blues Album by a Louisiana Artist.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Advance tickets for the event are $6 for all students, $14 for NMU faculty and staff and $15 for the general public, and are available at the Superior Dome, the University Center Snak Shak, Forest Roberts Theatre, by phone at 906-227-1032 and online at Tickets at the door are $2 more than advance prices.
