NCLL PRESENTS MCCLINTOCK FAMILY HISTORY

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning presents selections from the McClintock family history and estate from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at First Presbyterian Church.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The Marquette Historical Society has letters from the 1880s-1990s, written back and forth among four generations of the McClintock family.

The collection includes a description of the making of the suit in which Abraham Lincoln was buried; echoes of World War I; vivid accounts by Kirby McClintock and her mother, Mary Patterson, as they were traveling and living in China and Japan during the build-up to World War II; the difficulties of evacuating American missionaries from China in the late 1930s; and the personal cost of World War II.
