Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Five students from Northern Michigan University attended and gave a group presentation at the Public Relations Student Society of America Conference Oct. 22-26 in New York City.  This yearÂ’s theme was “Success and the City:  Framing the Future of Public Relations.”

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The conference taught the students professional development skills such as how to create resumes, conduct interviews and properly manage their careers. Donald Trump and Larry King were among several speakers who related their own experiences in the public relations field. Â Ã‚ Ã‚ 

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  NMUÂ’s presentation was titled “No Town Too Big, No Town Too Small – PR ItÂ’s All Around!”

“Our presentation was about how you can get PR experience no matter where you are,” said senior Julee Basal.  “Whether you are in a small town or a large city, every community has something unique to offer.”
