Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Martin Achatz, the first graduate of Northern Michigan UniversityÂ’s Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing to publish a full-length book, will give a reading from The Mysteries of the Rosary on Nov. 17. It is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Federated WomenÂ’s Clubhouse at 104 W. Ridge in Marquette.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The book is a collection of poetry based loosely on the Catholic Rosary and other devotional prayers. Other poems written by Achatz have appeared in Kenesaw Review and Paterson Literary Review. Achatz was a finalist in the Young Playwrights Festival Competition sponsored by the Foundation of the Dramatists Guild in New York, and a finalist in the Writers Union National Poetry Competition.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Achatz teaches composition, creative writing, literature and technical writing as an adjunct instructor in the NMU English department.
