SUMMER CLASS OFFERS TRIP TO CHINA

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University will offer a 3-credit international field study class during the 2005 summer session at Northern Michigan University.  An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the West Science Building room 3710.  This trip is available to non-students as well, but students will have first priority.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The trip will tour the cities of Beijing, Xian, Guilin and Shanghai.  Students will learn about the changes China has gone through both geographically and historically and visit Tiananmen Square and other historically significant landmarks.  The round-trip flight will originate in Green Bay and accommodations will be provided in four-star hotels.  The cost of the hotels, meals, airfare, and tips is included in the $2,600 trip expense.  Students should also expect an approximate $600 tuition cost for the course. 

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Applications are available in the geography department located in the New Science Facility room 3001.  Students are encouraged to apply early as there is a maximum seating of 20 people.  There will be a $100 application fee.  Application deadline is Jan. 1, 2005.
