Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning and AARP are offering a driver safety program from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, and Wednesday, Nov. 3, at First United Methodist Church.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The class consists of two four-hour sessions with breaks. The first session is primarily about how bodily changes associated with aging affect driving and how to compensate for these changes. 

The second session focuses on how to avoid the traffic situations that most often cause problems for senior drivers. Time will also be spent reviewing laws and revealing some strategies for safe driving. Deciding when to quit driving and how to get around afterwards will also be discussed.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 29.  The cost is $10 and covers self-tests and books, and is payable at the first class to AARP.  To register or for more information call 228-9367.
