BIOLOGY SEMINAR TO DISCUSS MITOCHONDRION DISORDERS

MARQUETTE – Dr. Barry Johnson of Iron Mountain will present the next biology seminar at noon Friday, Oct. 15, in room 2902 of the West Science Building at Northern Michigan University.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The topic of the presentation is “Mitochondrion Disorders in Humans.” Mitochondria are tiny structures found within cells that serve as centers for enzyme activity and help in powering the cells. They are essentially the part of the cell responsible for energy production.
