BIOLOGY SEMINAR ON EAGLES AND WATERFOWL AT NMU

MARQUETTE — Northern Michigan University will present a biology seminar titled, “Finding the Link for the Cause of Avian Vacuolar Myelinopathy, A Fatal Disease of Bald Eagles and Waterfowl in the Southeast.” It is scheduled at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in the Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building at NMU. 

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  William Bowerman, a Clemson University professor, will give the presentation. Avian vacuolar myelinopathy is a neurological disease that causes birds to fly in an uncoordinated manner and appear intoxicated.
