NMU TO HOLD FALL FESTIVAL

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University’s 17th annual Fall Fest will be held Monday, Aug. 30, which is the first day of classes for the fall semester.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The first half of Fall Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the University Center lawn. More than 50 student organizations and 50 local businesses will be there. Entertainment will be provided by “Jim and Ray” and John Scheurich “the Tall Guy.” Food will be provided by several vendors, and free ice cream cones will be available while quantities last.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The second half of Fall Fest will be an all-you-can-eat picnic from 4:30-7 p.m. in front of the Marketplace. The picnic is free to students with a meal plan and $6.75 for others.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚  “Fall Fest is one of those things that capture the first day of classes,” said David Bonsall, director of student activity and leadership programs. “People are back and excited to see each other.”
