MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning is offering a geological presentation and a field trip to the Lindberg Quarry from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, beginning in room 101B of the Superior Dome.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Geologist Tom Waggoner will give a presentation on the basic principles of geology; the scientific study of the origins, history and structure of the earth; and the vast amount of time and change that created the quarry. Participants and Waggoner will then travel to the quarry off Marquette County Road 480 to see the Kona dolomite, evidence of past changes, and the fossil record of some of the earthÂ’s earliest life forms.
