MARQUETTE – Kerri Schuiling, associate dean of nursing education at Northern Michigan University, has achieved fellowship status within the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She participated in a formal induction ceremony at the ACNM annual meeting and exhibit May 28-June 3 in New Orleans.

Schuiling is one of eight “Fellows-at-Large” elected this year for demonstrating positive leadership and making significant contributions to the profession through activities such as research, teaching and community service.

This is the second time in recent years that she has been recognized by the ACNM. In 2001, Schuiling received the Kitty Ernst Award – the second-highest honor the organization bestows on one of its members.

Broadcasters: Schuiling is pronounced SHOO-ling.
