‘COMMUNITY SAFETY INTERACTION DAY’ TO BE HELD

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – “Community Safety Interaction Day” will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Westwood Mall.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The day will include child fingerprinting, booths with safety information for adults and children, booths for kids to win prizes, face painting and magic shows. The goal of the project is to fingerprint children and bring the community and police together for a fun and educational time.

Participants will include Northern Michigan University Public Safety, Marquette City Police, the Marquette County SheriffÂ’s Department, the DNR, the Forsythe Township Police, the Negaunee City Police, McGruff the Crime Dog, Wildcat Willy, the Ishpeming Fire Safety Dog and volunteer firemen from the local area.
