FORMER JUDGE TO SPEAK ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Pat Micklow will present “Domestic Violence Reform: Where We Stood, Where We Stand, Where We Need to Go” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, in the Superior Room of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Micklow served as a judge from 1986-2000. She will discuss how reforming laws and establishing support systems has been key to changing public perception about domestic violence and assisting thousands of victims.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The public is invited to attend this free event. It is co-sponsored by Committee W of the AAUP and Vox in celebration of International WomenÂ’s Day and WomenÂ’s History Month.
