MARQUETTE Ã‚– Iceland Ã‚– a country of legend, folklore and intrigue Ã‚– will be the topic of a Northern Center for Lifelong Learning program on Thursday, Jan. 22.
Fred and Carol Margrif recently toured the region. They will offer a presentation that will cover geothermal features, waterfalls, churches, farms, the Skogar Historical Museum, harbors and Grimsey Island. The couple will also share their impressions of current societal issues.
The program begins at 7 p.m. at a location to be determined. Cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for non-members. Pre-registration is required by Monday, Jan. 19. For more information or to register, contact Carole Bard at 228-9367.
