NCLL OFFERS AARP DRIVER SAFETY PROGRAM

MARQUETTE – Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer the AARP Driver Safety Program, formerly called “55 Alive,” Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 13-14.

The class consists of two four-hour sessions, scheduled from 12:30-4:30 p.m. each afternoon at First United Methodist Church. The first session is mainly about the body changes that affect driving and how to compensate for them. The second looks at the traffic situations that most often cause problems for seniors and how to avoid them.

Participants will also spend time reviewing laws and strategies for safe driving, and discuss when to quit driving and how to get around when you canÂ’t drive.

The class costs $10, which includes a take-home book. For information, contact Carole Bard at 228-9367.
