MARQUETTE – Latin jazz band leader Poncho Sanchez will perform at Northern Michigan University on Friday, Nov. 21. The local group Combo Caliente will open the concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center. Sanchez will take the stage at 8:45.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Sanchez has been performing various Latin music, including salsa, mambo and cha-cha rhythms, for two decades. He is accompanied by seven other musicians in his band.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Advance tickets for the performance are $6 for all students, $14 for Northern Michigan University faculty and staff and $15 for the general public. Tickets at the door are $8 for all students, $16 for NMU faculty and staff and $17 for the general public.

The Poncho Sanchez concert is part of the 2003 NMU Performing Arts Series.
