Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Phillip E. Johnson, a law professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and the author of five books on Darwinism, will visit Northern Michigan University Tuesday, Oct. 14, and Wednesday, Oct. 15.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Johnson will be speaking each evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at NMU. The topic of TuesdayÂ’s lecture is “Reconsidering Darwinism” and the topic of WednesdayÂ’s lecture is “Critical Thinking: Asking the Right Questions.” There will be a book browsing/signing each evening from 6:30-7:30 p.m., with a punch reception on Wednesday during that time. Question and answer periods will follow each lecture.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  There will also be a “Dutch-treat” luncheon, primarily for questions for Johnson, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Each lecture is free to all students and $2 for the general public. The events are sponsored by Bethel Baptist Campus ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ, His House and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. For more information call Cliff Maier at 906-226-8597.
