MARQUETTE Ã‚– Renowned educator Gerald Graff will make one rethink the relationship between scholarship and ordinary thinking and speaking when he delivers a presentation titled Ã‚“Clueless in AcademeÃ‚” at Northern Michigan University. The event is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in room 102 Jamrich Hall. Admission is free to NMU students and $2 for non-students.
Graff serves as dean of curriculum and instruction, as well as a professor of English, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the author of Ã‚“Clueless in Academe: How Schooling Obscured the Life of the Mind.Ã‚”
