BIOLOGY SEMINAR SCHEDULED AT NMU

MARQUETTE – The next presentation in the Biology Seminar Series at Northern Michigan University will discuss how the inability to repair double-stranded breaks in cells can result in breast cancer.

“Protein-Protein Complexes Involved in Double-Strand Break Repair and the Regulation of Yeast Mating-type A” will be presented by Doba Jackson, a postdoctoral fellow from Penn State University. It is scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, in Mead Auditorium of the West Science building at NMU.

Jackson will discuss how the repair of double-strand breaks is critical for the cellsÂ’ integrity.
