BIOLOGY SEMINAR SERIES PRESENTS ECHOLOCATION

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Matthew Wund of the University of Michigan will present the next biology seminar at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in the Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building at Northern Michigan University.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The topic of the seminar is “The Development of Plastic Echolocation in the Little Brown Bat, Myotis lucifugus.” Echolocation uses sound waves that echo back to the bat so it knows where objects or food are. Wund is from the department of ecology and evolutionary biology of the Museum of Zoology at U of M.
