MARQUETTE Ã‚– Kim Prohaska of South Lyon, Mich., has been elected to national office in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). She will serve as vice president of public relations for the 2003-04 academic year.
Prohaska, a student at Northern Michigan University, is a member and past president of the NMU chapter of PRSSA. She also attended the 2002 PRSSA National Assembly in San Diego and volunteered at the 2003 PRSSA National Conference in San Francisco. She is the daughter of Bob and Cindy Prohaska of South Lyon.
PRSSA was founded in 1968 by its parent society, the Public Relations Society of America. It has grown to include 232 chapters in 43 states and the District of Columbia. The pre-professional organization has more than 7,500 members.
