Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – A modern dance performance, “Dynamic Peace,” will be hosted with Northern Michigan UniversityÂ’s modern dance class from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, at the studio in the PEIF Building.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The performance will feature improvisation and authentic movement modern dance styles. Local musical groups Log Jam, Ignorant Mob, and Barefoot nÂ’ Mucklucked will provide live, improvised music. Audience members will be invited to dance if they wish.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  A labyrinth walk will be part of the performance. A labyrinth is a type of maze fashioned on the floor, usually with tape, and traveling through a labyrinth is a type of holistic practice that explores authentic emotions and expression. Dancers and audience members can explore their creativity and emotions with it.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The event is free to NMU students and children under six and $3 for the general public.
