Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – A modern dance performance titled “Eye of the Needle” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  It is choreographed by Melany Steinhoff and is the culmination of a semester-long dance workshop at Northern Michigan University under her direction. More than 30 workshop participants will perform with guest dancers from SteinhoffÂ’s Third Street Dance Company of Marquette.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The concert will explore movement from the “pedestrian” to the advanced capabilities of the troupe. It will feature an original music composition by graduate student Matthew Suomi. Poet and NMU alumna Chloe Leisure, who is an instructor and writing workshop coordinator at Northern Arizona University, will also participate. Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Tickets are available at the Superior Dome, the University Center Snak Shak, Forest Roberts Theatre, online at and at the door. Advance tickets are free to NMU students (limit one per I.D.) and $10 for the general public. Tickets at the door are $1 for NMU students and $12 for the general public.
