Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Chris Beckman, a cast member of MTVÂ’s “The Real World Season 11” will be speaking at Northern Michigan University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Beckman, a 24-year-old Massachusetts native, spent four months in Chicago last year filming the show with six strangers who were, as the opening credits to the show explain, “picked to live in a house, have their lives taped, and find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real.”

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Since the show premiered in mid-January, Beckman has embarked on a modeling career and is currently touring the country speaking to young people about the struggles and challenges he has faced.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The event is sponsored by Outlook. Admission is free for NMU students and $2 for non-students.
