NMU’S GERMAN FILM SERIES TO SHOW THIRD FEATURE

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – “Stalingrad” is the third feature in the German film series presented by Northern Michigan UniversityÂ’s department of modern languages and literatures. It will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Emma JoeÂ’s Coffee House.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The 1993 film was directed by Joseph Vilsmaier and is 134 minutes long. It is about the brutal battle of Stalingrad as seen through the eyes of a German lieutenant who defies his sadistic captain and leads his battalion in an attempt to survive a desperately hopeless situation.
