POET RICHARD TILLINGHAST TO VISIT NMU

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Poet Richard Tillinghast will give a poetry reading at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the Pioneer B room of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  Tillinghast has written seven poetry books, including “Six Mile Mountain,” “Today in the Café Trieste” and “The StonecutterÂ’s Hand.” He teaches a multimedia course at the University of Michigan on the Beat Generation and is the director of PoetÂ’s House in Ireland.

 Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The poetry reading is sponsored by NMUÂ’s Master of Fine Arts Program in creative writing and “Passages North” literary magazine.
