The auction is a fundraiser to support student participation in the Bataan Memorial Death March this spring.

This annual marathon-length march in White Sands, N.M., is dedicated to the more than 10,000 Americans and Filipinos who were forced to march with no food and water in blistering heat for 5 days from morning until late at night during World War II. Most of them lost their lives during the march or later in the Japanese prisoner of war camps.
