NCLL TO LEAD WINTER OUTING

MARQUETTE – A winter outing in the McCormick wilderness area, organized by the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16.

After meeting at the Superior Dome parking lot, Gene Elzinga will introduce hikers to the largest protected natural area in Marquette County, located 12 miles north of Champion, within an hour drive of Marquette.  Equipped with skis and snowshoes, the group will make its way to the site of the McCormick lodge, which is a round-trip hike of about seven miles.
