VIRTUAL CAMPUS TOUR ADDED TO NMU WEB SITE

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University now offers a virtual campus tour on its Web site in an effort to showcase NMU facilities and the campus environment for those outside the Marquette area.

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The objective is to allow prospective students and their parents to take a self-guided tour of Northern prior to scheduling a campus visit.

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  “This new feature was developed in response to feedback from prospective students, who frequently cite virtual tours as an interactive element they want to see on college Web sites,” said Brian Zinser, director of marketing at NMU.

The tour features building photos and information. There are also 360-degree panoramas of some facilities that allow users to rotate the camera angle and zoom in or out.

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  The virtual campus tour was developed by Daric Christian, an associate professor of art and design at NMU. It is available at www.nmu.edu/tour.
