Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  MARQUETTE – Psychologist Carl JungÂ’s dream psychology will be discussed at the next presentation in the Northern Michigan University psychology departmentÂ’s 2002-03 Colloquia Series. Tom Reed, who taught a course on Jungian dream psychology for three years at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, will be presenting an overview of this topic from 3:10-4:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in Gries Hall room 167 at Northern Michigan University.

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  According to Jung, the unconscious is not merely a bundle of instincts centering on hunger, sex and survival. It also contains the secret of life's meaning, which is hidden from the conscious intellect. The unconscious will reveal that secret in dreams, if the dreamer is receptive enough.

Â Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚ Ã‚  All interested persons from NMU or the general public are welcome to attend the presentation. For more information, call the psychology department at (906) 227-2935.
