NMU’S ANNUAL FALL FEST SET FOR MONDAY

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University’s Fall Fest is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, on the University Center lawn. The annual event coincides with the first day of classes. It gives new and returning students a chance to become involved in campus organizations and introduces them to local businesses.

About 50 area businesses and an equal number of student organizations will be represented at Fall Fest. Students can pick up information, coupons, giveaways and for-sale merchandise. Live entertainment will be provided by musicians Jim and Ray and Mike da Roving Guy, who will maneuver through the crowd with balloons, stilts, magic tricks and juggling.

Fall Fest is sponsored by Student Activities and Leadership Programs at NMU and the Marquette Chamber of Commerce.
