NMU’S UNIVERSITY CHOIR AND MADRIGAL CHOIR TO PERFO

MARQUETTE -- Northern Michigan University's Madrigal Choir and University Choir will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette.

NMU professor Floyd Slotterback will direct both choirs in a celebration of love songs.  Staff members Jan Brodersen and Lynne Koski Lanczy will provide piano accompaniment.

The University Choir will present Johannes Brahms' 'Love Song Waltzes." The Madrigal Choir will perform several selections that share the text "Set me as a seal upon thy heart."

"The theme is love," said Slotterback.  "It will be a great concert and wonderful way to spend Sunday afternoon."

Both choirs are composed of NMU students majoring in music and other fields.

The concert is free of charge.
