NMU DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC TO HOLD FACULTY RECITAL

MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University's department of music VAII hold a faculty recital featuring James Strain and friends at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, in room 103 of Jamdch Hall.

The program of percussion music vall include the following works: Mobile for Two Percussionists by Marta Ptaszynska; Sekouto Satoh by J. Cl.  Tavernier; Introduction and Rondo for Flute and Percussion by Leon Stein; Furioso and Valse in D Minor by Ead Hatch; and Stop Time and Frivolity by George Hamilton Green.

Strain vall be accompanied by NMU music professor Eida Tate on the flute and

Marquefte freelance professional percussionist Carrie Biolo.  The follovang NMU students vvill also contribute their talents: Aaron R. Anderson, marimba and percussion; Erik Moisio, marimba; Steve Schmidt, percussion; Sommar Jastorff, marimba; Sara Retiz, marimba; and Kaci Taylor, marimba.

The concert is free of charge and open to the public.
