NMU RETIREES AND SERVICE TO BE RECOGNIZED

MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University will recognize recent retirees and long-time employees who are in their milestone year at its annual Retirement and Service Awards Program at noon Tuesday, April 4, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.

Forty-six employees who retired during the past year will be recognized and presented with plaques commemorating their years of service at Northern.

Six current NMU employees will be honored for 35 years of service to the university. These honorees include: Michael Cauley and Carol Hicks, professors of engineering technology; Joseph Healy, trades specialist; Thomas Hyslop, English professor; Barry Knight, department head and professor for history and philosophy; and Frank Verley, biology professor.

Fifteen employees will be recognized for 30 years of service, 28 for 25 years of service, 13 fo 20 years of service, 30 for 15 years of service and 22 for 10 years of service.
