MARQUETTE - "Freshwater Crab Systematics and Biogeography" will be the topic of the next event in Northern Michigan University's psychology colloquia series. It will be held from 3:10-4:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, in room 167 Gries Hall.Neil Cumberlidge, NMU biology professor and department head, will deliver the presentation. He has more than 20 years' experience researching freshwater crab biology and is the author of numerous journal articles and a book-length monograph on the topic. He is the recipient of a grant from the National Science Foundation. Cumberlidge also was recently appointed as a research associate in the Department of Systematic Biology - Invertebrates - at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.
