Photo Opportunities

The Renaissance High School Choir from Detroit is in Marquette for its Tuesday evening concert with the Northern Michigan University Choir. Two artists from New York City are also on campus to participate in the concert and share their experiences and expertise with NMU students. Photo opportunities associated with these visits and with the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at NMU include:

-Renaissance students participating in a variety of activities designed to acquaint them with the college experience and - more specifically - NMU. An itinerary follows this notice for potential use as an advance to promote the concert.

-A concert entitled "Keeping the Dream Alive" will pay tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. It features the NMU Choir, Detroit's Renaissance High School Choir and New York City guest artists Larry Woodard and John Anthony. It begins at 7:30 p.m. in Vandament Arena.

-Woodard and Anthony are guests of the NMU music department through the King*Chavez*Parks visiting professorship program. For information on their activities at NMU and availability, contact Floyd Slotterback at 227-2308.
