Superior Experience - Agent

Scholarship for international students participating as a degree seeking exchange student for one semester or an academic year referred by an NMU approved agent. 

Students from universities around the world are eligible to receive The Superior Experience - Agent scholarship to study at NMU as a degree seeking exchange student.  This scholarship allows students to experience up to one year at a top-notch U.S. institution, while paying tuition fees that are equivalent to the in-state or resident tuition rate.   
 

Eligibility & Award Criteria: 

  • Must be participating through an approved agent recognized by NMU.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and hold a valid U.S. F1 student visa and remain in be in status throughout your period of study in the U.S.
  • Must meet any program specific admission requirements
  • Must be enrolled full-time as a degree seeking NMU student
  • Recipients are eligible for the award for a maximum of one academic year
  • Fall & Winter semester awards will be $1,100 each
  • Award winners are expected to participate in intercultural sharing and/or service activities
  • There is no application is required for this scholarship.  Recipients will be notified of the award during the program enrollment process. 

Application Process:

  1. Superior Experience - Agent Application
  2. Pay $35 application fee (must be in U.S. funds)
  3. Credential Evaluation Report and Transcripts - Only one credential evaluation is required. 

    1. Education Credential Evaluators (ECE)  This service allows applicants to submit their official educational documents only once--to ECE.  NMU would then receive the verified documents from ECE along with the credential evaluation. Select the "course by course report" ($160)

    2. World Education Service (WES)  Students may elect to order the WES ICAP service.  This service allows applicants to submit their official educational documents only once--to WES. NMU would then receive the verified documents from WES along with the credential evaluation. Select the "course by course report with ICAP" ($205)

    3. Other approved evaluators may be considered if part of NACES

  4. Proof of English language proficiency Test Scores
  5. Provide Certification of Finances $28,575 (Academic Year) or $14,288 (one semester)
