Reduced Tuition for International Students

The Transfer International Academic Award is available to academically talented, undergraduate bachelor degree seeking international students transferring to Northern Michigan University from an accredited U.S. College with a cumulative grade point average of 3.00+ and completed 12+ transferable credit hours.

Eligibility & Award Criteria for International Students:

• Must hold a valid, in status, F-1 Visa.
• Transfer GPA 3.0-+ and 12+ transferable credit hours to NMU
• Fall & Winter semester awards will be $1,100 each.
• Spring/Summer semester award will be $1,000..

Renewal:

The Transfer  International Academic Award is renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

International Students are expected to maintain lawful immigration status according to the guidelines set by INS and the Office of International Programs.
